Westham Island Herb Farm pumpkin patch

Ohohoho... I got the flu shot not so long ago, and now caught the cold.  So I'm staying home from work today.  Since my bed was getting pretty darn boring, I decided to type a new entry :)

Last Saturday the boyfriend and I drove down to Delta to visit the pumpkin farm.  We originally wanted to hit up Richmond farmer's market, since it's a lot closer, but apparently by the time we got there (~11am) the traffic was so bad that we went down a bit further to Westham Island Herb Farm.  We had to drive over this creepy old (but cool) bridge.

 It turned out pretty awesome, actually.  For one, there is no entrance fee, whereas I believe the Richmond farm charges $12 for entrance + a pumpkin.  Other attractions were available, like the haunted house ($2 entrance fee), market, and farm animals.

woolly cow! we were just in time to see it make cow pie ^^;;

There were quite a lot of people when we went (late morning to late afternoon).  My favourite part of the day was pushing the wheelbarrow down to the pumpkin patch to pick one. The pricing was $0.35/lb for the pumpkins we pick from the patch.  We did not end up getting one though, but enjoyed the scenery, hot chocolate and homemade cookies.

After the farm, we drove around and decided to stop at this random park to play with the beautiful leaves.  I honestly don't know where it was.  It was a spontaneous stop, and it was worth it :)

Happy fall, everyone!
