Acne troubles (what's new)
So I've never dealt with major acne until I started university. Now they seem to be permanent residents on my face. WHYYYY??? I thought that I could handle it if I fancied up my skin care routine from the "slap face with water morning and night" and added an actual cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. Now I have a cabinet full of half-used goo (I'm thinking of Jennamarbles), and still a face full of acne. I finally got fed up with it (6+ years later) that I decided to see my family doctor about it, hoping that I could get referred to a dermatologist...

I'm a P.T. killer...
P.T. = personal trainer. As an attempt to change my life pattern of work-computer-sleep and repeat, I decided to try out the gym/workout scene (which is pretty big in Vancouver). How it all started was pretty amusing, so I'll share. I was at Konbiniya (a Japanese convenient store in downtown Robson) with some friends and was having my usual Nutella-banana mochi crepe (highly recommend~), when I saw a contest to win ski session tickets/8 free days at [gym name]. Just for the heck of it, I put my ballot in. What were the chances that I'd win, anyways?...

Hello Vista...
... it's been a while.
Ever since graduation/convocation at UBC, I've been enjoying the no-midterm, no-finals moments (sorry for those who are in the midst of exams atm, good luck ^.~). There is this website that UBC currently uses for material that is uploaded for each registered course. Some courses have assessments, or mini quizzes. For my current job as a lab tech, I must complete the Biosafety course, and the Chemical Safety course, just for administrative purposes. It has been so long since I had to study for anything, that I ended up not being productive whatsoever. I tried staying on campus to read, coffee shop, at home, nothing worked.

Savings account
So. will come back to add more details to this, as I currently have a biosafety exam to study for at the moment =/
My boyfriend and I decided to create a joint savings account, and after much researching on the interwebs (15 minutes), we decided on INGDirect. It seems like a pretty good bank, good interest rates, no opening charges or anything. Just like a free storage space. Just wanted to share this right now, as there's a holiday promotion going on. If you join using a user's "orange key" (referral code, I'd say), you get a $25 bonus added to your account after your initial deposit of $100 or more. Furthermore, they add $50 extra for new clients.
I'll probably update after a few months and see how it goes. If you'd like to grab the offer, here's my orange key.
Good luck~

Beginning of a school year...
... and I'm not part of it, woohoo! Graduate of May 2012 here~
I used to get excited on Imagine Day at UBC, NOT because of school starting, but because of the freebies I usually collect as I trek through all the booths.
But today, I felt like it wasn't worth the sweating and plowing through hundreds of other equally excited students grabbing for freebies. In fact, I got a headache from all the noise. Oh noes, I'm getting old.. and it's only been half a year D:

Ninja'd.
It was a chill Sunday night, and my boyfriend and I were playing a Naruto game on the X box. I pretty much button-mashed through the whole game, and managed to do some cool combos somehow, but ultimately failed. Fast-forward to when he got home and called me. He asked me, judging from his performance at the Naruto game, whether he would be a good ninja. Being the natural instigator that I am, I said, no...

Birthday blues [?]
I had my birthday a month ago in February. Oh man, I'm so old ): I don't know about you, but I always dread the day my birthday approaches. It's not a vain thing, where I worry about getting older and getting more wrinkles etc. How do I explain it without sounding like a lunatic? I'll try anyways.
Pitiful, depressed, hopeless, are among the emotions I feel. Perhaps, because I'm afraid to find out if anyone (or no one) at all remembers. And yet, I feel like I shouldn't feel that way at all, because it's being self-centered, which I don't like. It's not the gifts or parties that I look for, but the affirmation that the people I call "friends" are really my friends. Just a simple greeting, whether in person, by phone/text, e-mail - doesn't matter the form, really- of acknowledging the day that's supposed to be special. Does anyone else feel that way, or am I just being weird?
